If your vehicle registration document has been lost, stolen or damaged, it's very important to get a replacement as soon as possible since driving around without it can lead to tickets and fines.
How to Replace Your Registration
You can choose to replace your registration either online or in person at your local DMV. The replacement fee is only $2.50.
What To Bring
If you request a duplicate registration in person, you may need to provide proof of your car insurance policy and have your license plate number handy.
If you apply online, you will be asked to provide information such as:
- Last name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Driver's license number
- Social security number
- License plate number
